CHEF / ARTIST / EDUCATOR / RADIO DJ
Santa Fe, NM
Hi! So happy you are here! I’m Cheryl Casden—a Santa Fe–based private chef, artist, cooking / painting instructor, and radio DJ. I cook and teach plant-forward, deeply satisfying meals for retreats and gatherings of all kinds throughout Santa Fe, creating food experiences that nourish the body while supporting connection, creativity, and presence.

I’m the founder of Paint-Sip-Chill, where I host monthly and private Paint ’n Sip experiences at CHOMP Food Hall & Wine Bar. These gatherings are designed to help people unwind, express themselves, and enjoy the simple joy of making art together—no pressure, just play.

Since 2025, I’ve also co-owned Iron Temple Strength Club with my husband, Cory Carpenter. Together, we’ve created a strength and recovery training center rooted in longevity, resilience, and empowerment.

In addition to my culinary and creative work, I’m a local radio DJ. I host The Groove Garden as DJ Cher Luv on KSFR 101.1 FM (also airing on 91.3 FM) every Wednesday from 1–3 PM, where I share soulful, eclectic music meant to uplift, ground, and inspire.

I was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I earned my BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in 2013. I relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2017. In 2022, I deepened my culinary practice by studying plant-based cuisine at Rouxbe Culinary School.

Across food, art, movement, and music, everything I do is guided by one intention: to create spaces where people feel nourished, inspired, and truly at home.
